D4vd's father made notable financial moves in recent months as the singer faced money troubles and now relies on a public defender in his murder case.
Real estate records show Dawud Burke sold a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home in Houston, Texas, for $229,000 in early July.
Earlier, in late April, Dawud took out a $138,000 loan on another Houston property, a 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom home.
Dawud currently resides in a larger 4-bedroom home in Hempstead, Texas, valued at around $850,000.
Singer's Legal Troubles
The sale comes after D4vd was declared indigent, leading to the withdrawal of his legal team, including Blair Berk, Marilyn Bednarski, and Regina Peter.
He will now be represented by a public defender in his criminal case over Celeste Rivas' murder.
The singer's lack of funds is notable given the $11 million he earned from his Interscope deal alone.
