Poco has introduced the F9 Ultra on the global stage, packing a high-refresh-rate display, a large battery, and a versatile camera system.
The phone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, built on a 3nm process.

Its CPU includes two prime cores clocked up to 4.6GHz and six performance cores reaching 3.62GHz.
Poco also added its VisionBoost D8 chipset to handle image enhancement, frame interpolation, and Game HDR in supported games.
The F9 Ultra comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.
Configurations include 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB.
Gaming and display
Poco is focusing heavily on gaming with this model.
The phone uses a 3D IceLoop cooling system and a large graphite layer to manage heat during extended use.
Its WildBoost Engine adjusts performance and power consumption based on the game.

The display supports refresh rates up to 185Hz, and Poco says more than 20 games can run at up to 185fps.
The 6.9-inch AMOLED screen has a 2608 x 1200 resolution, 12-bit color, Dolby Vision, HDR10 Plus, and DCI-P3 wide color gamut.
Peak brightness is claimed at 10,000 nits in limited HDR areas, with typical brightness rated at 850 nits.
The screen also supports up to 4,800Hz instant touch sampling in Game Turbo mode, but this is limited to compatible games and software settings.
Camera and battery
On the back, the F9 Ultra has a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera, and a 50MP ultrawide camera.
The telephoto lens offers 5x optical zoom and a 120mm-equivalent focal length, and it can be used for close-ups from around 30cm.
Rear video recording supports 8K at 30fps and 4K at up to 60fps.

For selfies, there's a 32MP camera that can record in 4K.
The 8,050mAh battery supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Poco says wired charging can fully charge the battery in about 50 minutes, while wireless charging reaches 50% in roughly 37 minutes.
The phone can also charge other devices at up to 27W via cable or 22.5W wirelessly, but the charger is sold separately.
Additional features include Bose-tuned stereo speakers with a separate subwoofer, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, an IR blaster, USB 3.2 Gen 1, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and IP68 dust and water resistance.

The Poco F9 Ultra is available in Black and Dark Cherry.
Prices start at $799 for the 12GB/256GB model, while the 16GB/512GB version costs $949.
