Kelly filed a petition to commute his 30-year sentence for sexual misconduct convictions, sparking infighting among his representatives.

On one side is Beau Brindley, Kelly's Chicago-based attorney of record. On the other is Atlanta-based attorney Lela Schmidt.

Schmidt told TMZ she has formally submitted a clemency petition asking President Trump for mercy on Kelly's behalf.

Schmidt has been working with Keith Calbert, who holds Kelly's power of attorney. Calbert claims Brindley's statements about representing Kelly in the clemency bid are false.

Brindley previously said he has been working with Kelly on his clemency bid and intends to pursue every avenue of justice.

In response to Calbert, Brindley stated that the claims are unsubstantiated, noting Calbert is neither an attorney nor a legal representative.
