A new Geekbench listing has revealed that the upcoming Redmi 17C 5G is essentially a rebadged version of the Redmi 15C 5G.
The benchmark shows the phone under the codename "tornado," which is also used for the Redmi 15C 5G and POCO C85 5G.

According to the listing, the Redmi 17C 5G will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, a processor already used in Xiaomi's budget 5G lineup.
While not designed for heavy gaming, the chipset should handle everyday tasks smoothly while keeping power consumption low.

Based on the rebranding pattern, the Redmi 17C 5G is expected to feature a 6.9-inch LCD panel with 720p resolution.
Camera-wise, the device is likely to include a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
The phone is also expected to pack a 6,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

Software-wise, the Redmi 17C 5G will likely launch with Android 16 and Xiaomi's HyperOS out of the box.
So far, the device is tipped for global and Indian markets, with no word on a China launch.

Pricing hasn't surfaced yet, but the Redmi 15C 5G launched in India at under $140, so the 17C is expected to launch at a similar price.
