The leak comes from tipster Sanju Choudhary on X, who also shared key specifications.

The device is said to feature a 6.59-inch flat AMOLED panel, matching the size of its predecessor, but with a refresh rate upgrade to 144Hz from 120Hz on the V70.

This could enable smoother 144fps gameplay in supported titles.

Under the hood, the V80 is expected to retain the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset used in the last two generations.

The V70 showed a modest 14% improvement in multi-core Geekbench scores over its predecessor, while single-core performance remained nearly unchanged.

Battery and camera highlights

A major upgrade is the battery capacity, reportedly jumping to 7,200mAh from 6,500mAh on the V70.

The phone may support 90W wired fast charging and bypass charging.

The camera system is rumored to include a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP 3x telephoto lens, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 50MP selfie camera.

These resolutions match the V70, though sensor sizes and aperture details are not yet known.

The Vivo V80 is also speculated to be a rebrand of the China-exclusive Vivo S60, which launched earlier this year with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset.
