Kjell Nilsson, the actor who portrayed the iconic villain Lord Humungus in "Mad Max 2," has died at the age of 76.
His representative, Chris Carbaugh, confirmed to TMZ that Nilsson passed away on Thursday in Queensland, Australia. He was surrounded by family after a four-year fight with kidney disease.

Born in Sweden, Nilsson was an Olympic-class weightlifter before transitioning to acting.
His imposing physique helped him land the role of the terrifying, metal-masked Lord Humungus in the 1981 film, known in the U.

Carbaugh described Nilsson as a wonderful person who inspired many as a weight-training coach.

He also noted that Nilsson cherished the "Mad Max" fan community and fully embraced his iconic character.
