Tim Curry, the legendary actor famous for his role as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show', has died at the age of 80.
Sources tell TMZ that Curry passed away late Tuesday night at his home in Los Angeles.
Law enforcement sources say police responded to his residence at 11:23 PM Tuesday. No foul play is suspected.
Curry began his Hollywood career in the late 1960s before landing his breakthrough role in 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show'.
Although initially ignored by critics, the film later became a cultural phenomenon in the 'midnight movie' scene.
He was also known for playing Pennywise in the 1990 adaptation of Stephen King's 'It' and Mr. Hector in 'Home Alone 2: Lost in New York'.
His other credits include 'Annie', 'Clue', 'The Hunt for Red October', 'Muppet Treasure Island', 'Addams Family Reunion', and 'Scary Movie 2'.
Curry received three Tony nominations and an Emmy nomination over his five-decade career.
In recent years, health issues slowed him down. He suffered a massive stroke in 2012, which required brain surgery.
Last year, around the release of his memoir 'Vagabond', Curry stated he was still unable to walk.
TMZ last spoke with Curry in 2017, when they asked his opinion on the Bill Skarsgård-led 'It' film.
