Jessi Draper is hitting back at critics after she and her 'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' costars posted a video that sparked backlash.
The clip, filmed Wednesday, shows Jessi, Whitney Leavitt, Jen Affleck, Layla Taylor and others dancing to "Big Time Rush" and declaring they're "surviving."
Taylor Frankie Paul, who is currently dealing with child custody issues, commented, "Looks like thriving to me, I’ll show you surviving."
In response to fan criticism, Jessi confirmed she and a group are filming for the show, but insisted that doesn't affect her friendship with Taylor.
She said she has defended Taylor from the start and still talks to her daily, but she can also be friends with other cast members.
Jessi urged fans to watch the next season, saying they have no idea what's happening behind the scenes, including her own personal struggles.
TMZ reported in April that some cast members would return to filming after the drama between Taylor and her ex, Dakota Mortensen, halted production in March.
Taylor hasn't joined the filming yet but is welcome back and likely will at some point.
For now, Taylor is focused on personal matters.
She was back in court Wednesday after Dakota accused her of violating a protective order by allegedly trying to arrange an extra visit with their son, Ever, while she was in rehab.
He presented alleged texts where Taylor called Ever's cries "annoying" and said Dakota "didn't deserve the domestic violence."
Taylor dismissed the texts as "boring."
