Xiaomi has started pre-orders in China for the Mijia Smart Electric Kettle Pro 5L.
The countertop water dispenser is priced at 699 yuan ($102), with a pre-order discount bringing it to 669 yuan ($98).

Key Features and Specifications
Unlike standard kettles, the Mijia Pro 5L operates as a stationary water boiler. It includes an internal water circulation system to prevent temperature layering.
Xiaomi claims the convection system keeps water moving in keep-warm mode. The temperature variance between top and bottom is limited to ±2°C after 30 minutes.
Users can adjust the target temperature in 1°C increments. Presets for coffee, tea, and baby formula are also available.

Dispensing volumes are adjustable with presets for standard cup sizes. Manual adjustments can be made in 50mL or 100mL steps.
All settings, along with a live water level readout, can be managed remotely through the Mijia companion app.
The kettle uses a seamless 316L stainless steel liner. All water-contact parts are made from food-grade materials to prevent odors.
The 5-liter tank is fully detachable for easy refilling and cleaning. This eliminates the need to move the entire electrical unit.

Hardware features include a dual noise reduction system. It uses sound insulation and software-controlled heating curves to keep boiling quiet.
A built-in cooling air circulation system helps bring freshly boiled water to a drinkable temperature faster.
The model also includes altitude detection that automatically adjusts the boiling point based on local elevation.

The device measures 234.9 by 367.4 by 352 mm and weighs 5.0 kg. It is available in white.
