Honor is offering a select group of users an early look at its upcoming MagicOS 11 update, which introduces a visually striking full-screen transparent design called Liquid Glass.
The company claims it is the first of its kind on Android.

Built on Android 17, MagicOS 11 brings a major visual refresh.
The Liquid Glass effect spreads translucent, glass-like visuals across the entire system, including the notification shade, settings, animations, and navigation.
It reacts to touch and ambient lighting with fluid movements and reflections.
Honor has shared demo videos showing the smooth, liquid-like interface, along with extensive customization options for themes, icons, and layouts.

Currently, the update is available as a limited beta. Honor is recruiting enthusiasts and developers to test it and provide feedback.
Eligible devices for the first wave include the Honor Magic 8, Magic 8 Pro, Magic 8 Pro Air, and Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design.
To participate, users with compatible devices can open the Honor app, navigate to Clubs > MagicOS section, and find the “MagicOS 11 Liquid Glass Beta Version Pioneer Recruitment” option.
After filling out a short questionnaire, selected users will receive the update.

As this is early beta software, users should expect potential bugs, performance issues, extra battery drain, or overheating.
Honor plans to expand the rollout to more devices in later waves.
Beyond the visual overhaul, MagicOS 11 includes additional AI-powered features. Honor aims to deliver a more premium, intuitive, and visually rich user experience.
For now, only select users in China with the latest Magic 8 flagships can access the beta.
