Police are investigating assault allegations against New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith, officials confirmed Monday.
The case stems from a weekend incident, with authorities telling TMZ Sports the matter is currently under review.

A woman named Kristen took to social media on Sunday, accusing Smith of physical assault.
She claimed the altercation occurred because Smith allegedly refuses to care for their special needs son.
Video footage posted online shows a heated argument between the two. In one clip, Smith is heard on the phone saying, "She just called the police."

Kristen responded, "Geno just beat my ass, that's why. You ran outside and attacked me, bitch."
The woman then ran down a driveway screaming for help. She also alleged Smith broke her computer, threw her purses out, and stole money from her car.

Another clip shows a physical scuffle near a vehicle, with Smith in the driver's seat. A final video depicts Smith speaking with three officers outside his home.
Smith and Kristen have a son named Seven, born in 2019.
In a subsequent social media post, Kristen denied that Smith is a bad parent, stating, "Geno is and always has been more than capable of taking care of his son."

Smith was traded to the Jets this offseason. His former team, the Las Vegas Raiders, is still paying the majority of his 2026 salary.
