Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani is a father of two.
The two-way superstar announced early Saturday that he and his wife, Mamiko Tanaka, welcomed their second baby together.

Ohtani shared an Instagram post showing a baby dressed in blue, wrapped in a matching blanket. He did not reveal the child's name or gender.
He wrote that he and Mamiko are "overjoyed" by the birth and thanked everyone for their support during their parenthood journey.

The couple's first child, a daughter, was born in April 2025. Her name has not been made public.
Fans noticed Ohtani was absent from the Dodgers' lineup Friday night against the Baltimore Orioles. The lineup was released two hours late, according to MLB.
