OnePlus is preparing to introduce a completely new smartphone lineup in India, tentatively called the OnePlus N Series.

According to a tip from well-known leaker Yogesh Brar, the launch could happen as early as July, with some models priced under ₹20,000.

The move marks a significant shift for OnePlus, which has traditionally focused on flagship and mid-range devices.

Its most affordable current offering, the Nord CE6 Lite, starts at ₹22,999, meaning the sub-₹20K price point would be a new territory for the brand.

Brar's exclusive post on X (formerly Twitter) stated: "OnePlus is launching a brand new smartphone series in India – Expected to be called OnePlus N series – Launch by July – Some models priced under Rs 20k."

He did not reveal how many devices the lineup will include or their exact names.

The budget smartphone segment in India is highly competitive, with players like Xiaomi, Lava, and iQOO offering aggressive pricing.

A dedicated N Series could help OnePlus reach a wider audience that previously found its phones too expensive.

Nord N Legacy

The "N" branding is not entirely new for OnePlus.

The company previously used it for the Nord N sub-series, which included models like the Nord N10, N100, N200, N300, N20, and N30.

However, those phones were primarily sold in the US and select global markets, never officially launching in India.

The last device in that line was the Nord N30 SE, launched in 2023.

Reviving the "N" branding as a standalone series in India suggests OnePlus may be separating its entry-level budget identity from the Nord brand, which has gradually moved upmarket with flagship-grade specs on phones like the Nord 6.
