Boox has expanded its color E Ink lineup with the Note Mini C, an 8.52-inch tablet that weighs around 300 grams.
The device sits between a phone-sized reader and a larger 10.3-inch note-taking tablet.
The Note Mini C uses a Kaleido 3 display that can show up to 4,096 colors at 1,024 x 768 resolution and 150 ppi.
For black-and-white content, the resolution rises to 2,048 x 1,536 at 300 ppi for sharper text.
The screen has a flat glass cover and a dual-tone front light with adjustable warm and cool tones.
It supports the InkSight stylus with 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity, as well as regular capacitive touch.
Hardware and Software
Inside, the tablet runs on an octa-core processor with Boox Super Refresh technology, paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
A microSD card slot allows users to add more space for books and notes.
Connectivity includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 6.0.
The device also has a 3,150mAh battery, a USB-C port with OTG and audio support, dual speakers, and a built-in microphone.
A power button with fingerprint recognition handles biometric unlocking. The Note Mini C measures 187.7 x 156 x 6mm and weighs approximately 300 grams.
On the software side, it runs Android 16 and supports many document formats, including PDF, EPUB, EPUB3, AZW3, MOBI, TXT, DOC, DOCX, CBR, CBZ, DJVU, PPT, and PPTX.
It can also handle common image and audio formats.
The Boox Note Mini C is priced at $549.99 and is listed as available soon through Boox’s official store.
