The legal battle over Jimmy Buffett's estate has taken a combative turn, with the late singer's children facing questions about their mother's alleged drug use.
Court documents obtained by TMZ show that Cameron Buffett and Sarah Delaney Buffett were questioned about their mom, Jane Buffett, during discovery.
They were pressed specifically about ketamine and marijuana.
Discovery Demands and the Buffett Family Response
The questions came from Jimmy's former financial advisor, Richard Mozenter, as part of the fight over control of the estate, reportedly worth an estimated $275 million.
Cameron and Delaney were asked to hand over any documents or communications about Jane's prescription or non-prescription drugs, including ketamine and weed, from August 2023 to the present.
In their response, the Buffett children called the request excessive and said it sought "harassing documents" that have nothing to do with the case at hand.
Mozenter sued Jane over the estate, and Jane countersued Richard, according to TMZ's earlier reporting.
In recent documents, Jane claimed Richard was blocking her from viewing accounting records she needed to determine next steps.
Jimmy Buffett died on September 1, 2023.
