Keke Palmer did not appear at the Emmys on Sunday night, even though she had been announced as a presenter.
The actress was scheduled to take the stage with Saturday Night Live star Marcello Hernandez to present the Outstanding Director for a Comedy Series award.
Instead, Hernandez presented the award alone to Hiro Murai for Widow's Bay.
Palmer has not publicly explained why she missed the ceremony.
In the hours before the show, she was active on social media, posting a promo for her podcast.
Palmer has been nominated for six Emmys throughout her career.
Her sitcom The 'Burbs was nominated at last week's Creative Arts Emmys but lost to Pluribus.
Representatives for Palmer have not responded to requests for comment.
