Xiaomi has launched a crowdfunding campaign for the Mijia Ceiling Light C series, introducing two full-spectrum smart ceiling lights for home use.

The lineup includes the L90 for living rooms and the D40 for bedrooms, both available on Xiaomi's Youpin platform.

Models and Pricing

The L90 is designed for spaces of about 25–45 square meters and is priced at 539 yuan (~€69).

The D40 targets bedrooms under 15 square meters and starts at 269 yuan (~€34).

The L90 measures 900 × 600 × 85 mm, while the D40 is a circular light with a 400 mm diameter and 75 mm thickness.

Both feature a slim, integrated body with matte finishes to reduce gloss and glare.

Performance and Smart Features

The L90 draws 108 W and delivers 8400 lumens, whereas the D40 uses 30 W for 2500 lumens.

Both use custom full-spectrum LEDs with a color rendering index of Ra95 and allow continuous color temperature adjustment from 2700K to 5700K.

They have passed TÜV SÜD testing, earning an RG0 exemption rating for blue-light hazard protection and confirming they are free of visible flicker.

A wide-angle side-emitting setup spreads illumination evenly and reduces dark spots.

The lampshades include an anti-UV agent to prevent yellowing, and the internal LED chips are paired with an efficient heat-dissipation structure for sustained output.

Through the Mi Home app, users can adjust brightness and color, set scene presets, and create personalized settings.

The lights can also link with other Xiaomi devices, such as speakers or smart door locks, for automated routines within the broader Xiaomi smart-home system.
