Xiaomi has opened pre-orders for its new Mijia Triple-Tube Washing Machine 14kg series in China. The lineup includes a washer-dryer model and a washing machine-only model.
The machine offers a total washing capacity of 14kg, split across three drums.
The main drum handles 11kg, while the two smaller side drums can each wash 1.5kg.
On the washer-dryer model, the total drying capacity is 9kg. The main drum handles 7kg, and each side drum handles 1kg.
Despite having three separate drums, Xiaomi has kept the machine relatively compact.
Its footprint is close to the company’s Mijia 10kg Ultra-Slim Washing Machine, allowing it to fit into standard ultra-thin built-in cabinet setups.
Independent Drums and AI Controls
Each drum has its own water supply, so they can work independently.
For example, you can run a full wash-and-dry cycle in the main drum while using the two smaller drums for another load.
You can also use just one of the three drums when you have a smaller load.
The two smaller drums have a washing ratio of 1.95, compared with 1.32 for the main drum.
Xiaomi has also increased their diameter to 230mm.
For hygiene, the machine supports cold-water sterilization and claims to provide up to 10 days of antibacterial protection inside the drums.
This means you don’t need to rely on a hot wash every time you want to keep the machine clean.
This isn’t Xiaomi’s first washing machine with three drums.
The new model follows the Mijia Three-Zone Washer Dryer Pro 14kg that launched late last year. The newer Triple-Tube series puts more focus on software, too.
Its AI Mijia Lingyun system combines Xiaomi’s washing algorithms with the company’s MiMo large model.
Instead of choosing from a long list of preset wash programs, you can simply type or say what you want to wash.
You can describe the fabric, color, and type of stain, and the system will create a suitable washing setting based on that information.
The washer-dryer version is priced at 4,999 yuan (~ $745), while the front-loading washing machine costs 3,999 yuan (~ $595).
Pre-orders are now open in China, although Xiaomi has not yet announced when deliveries will begin.
