Duane "Keffe D" Davis, convicted in the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur, accumulated a series of alleged violations while held at the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas.
Records obtained by TMZ detail incidents ranging from physical altercations to verbal threats against corrections officers, spanning from his arrest in September 2023 through the start of his trial.
Violent Altercation in December 2025
In December 2025, Davis was being escorted back to his cell after a visit with a loved one when he got into a brawl with another inmate in the dayroom.
The documents state that Davis and the other inmate engaged in mutual combat, grappling and throwing punches.
A corrections officer used pepper spray to stop the fight before other officers arrived to separate them.
Threats and Disciplinary Housing in 2024
Another violation occurred in March 2024, when Davis argued heatedly with a corrections officer over when he could leave his cell for "free time."
Davis allegedly yelled, "Who do you think you are talking to? I have been doing this s---t since before you were born."
The officer informed Davis he lost his free time for the day and ordered him back to his cell.
The argument continued, and Davis allegedly threatened to fight the officer and punch him in the "f---ing face."
Davis was eventually brought to disciplinary housing for several rules violations, including refusing to obey a direct order and threatening another with physical harm.
In August 2024, Davis became angry about the time of day he was allowed out for "free time," reportedly upset because he could not make a phone call to help with bail.
He allegedly took his frustration out on two corrections officers, repeatedly calling them a "piece of s***" and then asking them to "have a heart."
The documents say Davis returned to his cell while kicking the door, leading officers to lock him down for 24 hours due to verbal abuse.
Later that month, officers tried to remove an unauthorized second mattress from Davis' cell.
As they removed it, Davis allegedly screamed, "This is some bulls***!" and a struggle ensued, resulting in him being handcuffed.
One officer reportedly suffered a scratch to his knuckle during the confrontation.
Davis also had minor violations on his jail record, such as passing a commissary note to another inmate.
Last month, a Las Vegas jury found Davis guilty of the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur during a drive-by shooting.
Prosecutors said Davis handed the murder weapon to another person inside their vehicle, and the gunman shot Tupac after the rapper had beaten up Davis' nephew.
Davis' sentencing is scheduled for October 13.
