A juror in the Lindsay Clancy case has shared new details about the panel that deadlocked, saying many of the 12 members had children of their own.

Juror Paula Devlin spoke Friday on "CBS Mornings," where Gayle King asked her to describe the jury by age and race.

The public had previously known only that the panel consisted of 3 men and 9 women, with ages ranging from 22 to 70.

Devlin said 11 jurors were white and one juror, a man, was Black, and she identified him as the lone holdout.

She also noted that many of the jurors were parents, a detail that stands out given the panel was apparently ready to return a not guilty by reason of insanity verdict for the woman who killed her 3 children.

For Devlin, she said it helped that Clancy's ex-husband, Patrick Clancy, came to her defense.

Holdout Juror and Mistrial

Multiple jurors have publicly criticized the lone holdout, alleging he lacked evidence for his position and claiming he mimicked the murders in the deliberation room.

Devlin said the holdout had trouble believing Lindsay was having a psychotic break because of all the steps she took to commit the crime.

The holdout led Judge William F. Sullivan to declare a mistrial.

Prosecutors have not said whether they plan to try Clancy again, but she is asking the judge to declare her not guilty.

Clancy's attorney, Kevin Reddington, fought vigorously against the mistrial and has asked President Donald Trump to consider a pardon, though a president can only pardon people charged or convicted of federal crimes, not state crimes.

A legal concept known as manifest necessity could apply if an appeals court rules the judge mishandled the case, which would prevent the state from prosecuting Lindsay again.

The mistrial will stand in Lindsay Clancy's trial, as the State Supreme Court Justice rejected Reddington's motion to overturn it.
