HUD Secretary Scott Turner appeared to attempt a butt slap on Rep.
Anna Paulina Luna as she walked past him at the Republican midterm convention in Dallas on Wednesday.
The moment was captured on video and quickly circulated online.
Turner had just finished his speech at the Trump-a-Palooza festival and was heading for the exits when Luna approached the podium.
As the two crossed paths, cameras caught him swinging his hand backward and down in her direction.
It appears that Turner's hand never actually made contact with Luna.
She did not seem to react, instead continuing straight to the podium as if nothing happened.
Online Reaction and Ironic Timing
The clip started making the rounds online, with people trying to figure out whether Turner really just attempted an onstage butt slap in front of the cameras.
For some added irony, Luna then kicked off her remarks talking about ethics in government.
The video has not helped Turner's case, as replays of the moment continue to draw attention.
