Xiaomi has introduced the Mijia Air Pump 3, a portable inflator now available for crowdfunding in China.
The device is priced at 199 yuan (~$29) retail, but early backers can get it for 179 yuan (~$26) through Xiaomi Mall and Xiaomi Youpin.
According to Xiaomi, the new pump inflates 25% faster than its predecessor.
This improvement comes from a 21mm high-precision alloy die-cast cylinder and a more powerful motor, enabling a maximum pressure of 150psi.
The pump is powered by two built-in 2500mAh lithium batteries.
On a single charge, it can inflate a car tire 10 times, a road bike tire 19 times, or a size 7 basketball 80 times.
Charging is via USB-C, but fast charging is not supported.
A full charge takes about 3 hours with a 5V/2A adapter.

The Mijia Air Pump 3 includes a display that shows real-time inflation progress.
A redesigned pressure relief valve makes pressure adjustment easier.
A digital chip sensor measures tire pressure with an accuracy of ±1psi, and automatic calibration at startup helps maintain accuracy at different altitudes.
The pump offers six preset modes: Car, Motorcycle, Bike, Electric Scooter, Ball, and Custom.
Car mode defaults to 2.5 bar and supports 1.8–3.5 bar; Motorcycle mode defaults to 2.4 bar and supports 1.8–3.0 bar.
Bike mode defaults to 45psi with a 30–65psi range, while Electric Scooter mode defaults to 50psi and supports 45–60psi.
Ball mode defaults to 8psi and supports 4–16psi, and Custom mode allows pressures from 3psi to 150psi with saved settings.
In terms of speed, Xiaomi says the pump can fill a 205/55 R16 tire from empty to 2.5 bar in about 6 minutes.
Topping the same tire from 2.0 to 2.5 bar takes about 75 seconds.
The pump also has a built-in LED light with standard and SOS flashing modes.
The battery is not user-replaceable, and Xiaomi advises against opening the unit.
It is not waterproof and should be kept away from moisture.
Operating temperatures range from -10°C, while charging is supported between 5°C and 40°C.
For air travel, the 2400mAh battery pack is below China's 100Wh carry-on limit, but travelers should check airline rules.
