A witness claims one of the pilots in Sunday's deadly Amazon cargo plane crash said his career was over just moments after the disaster that killed five people.
The National Transportation Safety Board identified the pilots as Felipe Silva Molina and Joseph Carroll, both of whom escaped with minor injuries.
The cargo jet, traveling from San Juan, Puerto Rico to Florida, overshot the runway at Miami International Airport and plowed into vehicles on a nearby roadway.
Abraham Altamar, an employee at a nearby building, rushed to help one of the pilots, who asked for a phone to call his wife.
Altamar told CBS the pilot was "shaking and a little injured in his forehead and his hand."
The pilot told his wife he was uninjured and felt "good," but then became visibly upset and said, "My career is over," according to Altamar.
It was not clear which pilot Altamar was helping.

The Amazon cargo plane crashed at Miami International Airport Sunday, leaving the jet stretched across a roadway as flames and thick black smoke poured from the wreckage.
NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy said the plane first hit a Ford Econoline van carrying seven airport cleaning workers after overrunning the runway.
The jet then tore through a perimeter fence, hit a Toyota Corolla Cross driving on a nearby street, and continued into grass before slamming into another fence.
