Despite the update exclusion, Nothing has fulfilled its original commitment of three major OS releases for the Phone (2).
The device will continue to receive security updates until July 2027, according to the official update policy.
Users argue that three OS updates are insufficient in 2026, especially when competitors like Samsung offer up to six major updates on mid-range phones.
Even Nothing's flagship Phone (3) only promises five major updates, which still lags behind Samsung and Google's high-end offerings.
