Xiaomi has unveiled the Mijia Smart Gas Water Heater 2 16L in China, with a launch price of 2,899 yuan ($432) starting September 15.
The regular retail price is set at 2,999 yuan ($446).
The new water heater achieves a thermal efficiency of up to 107%, surpassing China's first-class energy efficiency threshold of 98%.
This is made possible by secondary condensation heat-exchange technology that recovers heat from exhaust gases.
Condensate Management and Booster Pump
Typically, condensation produces acidic runoff requiring a dedicated drain pipe.
Xiaomi's built-in condensate management system neutralizes the liquid with a mineral module and atomizes it into fine droplets, expelling them through the exhaust pipe.
This design prevents pipe corrosion and eliminates the need for extra plumbing.
For homes with low water pressure, the heater includes a TSI DC variable-frequency booster pump that can increase water flow by up to 245%, supporting a 10-meter head and a 120-meter circulation loop.
A preheating feature warms water in the pipes before the tap is turned on, reducing wait time.
The dual-drive water servo system adjusts gas and combustion ratios to maintain consistent temperatures even when other sinks are used.
The sealed combustion chamber features a bottom-mounted fan that keeps the flame stable even in Force 12 winds.
Additional features include a six-stage water filtration system, connectivity via 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0, and a low operating noise of 32dB(A).
