Gwyneth Paltrow is getting candid about her past relationship with Brad Pitt, including the engagement that never led to marriage.

On the "Friends Keep Secrets" podcast, she described meeting Brad after they were cast together in "Se7en" as a "love at first sight thing."

She said they clicked immediately, adding, "It was pretty awesome." At the time, she was 22 and Brad was 31.

Paltrow noted that Brad became her first major public relationship just as her career was taking off.

This meant she was suddenly famous for her movies while also being known as Brad Pitt's girlfriend, which she admitted was overwhelming.

The conversation shifted to how serious they became, with Paltrow confirming they were engaged.

This revelation caught Benny Blanco off guard, prompting him to ask, "You were engaged to Brad Pitt?"

Paltrow confirmed it but said they never made it down the aisle because she was young and they were constantly working in different parts of the world.

Benny then joked that it was a "conscious uncoupling," referencing the phrase Paltrow later used for her split from Chris Martin.

It turns out some '90s Hollywood history still has spoiler value.
