Xiaomi has officially introduced the Pad 9 Pro Max at its autumn flagship event.

The new tablet is powered by the Xring O3 chip and sports a 13.3-inch display.

Pricing starts at 4,799 yuan (~$715) for the base model.

The top-tier 16GB+1TB Soft Light Screen version costs 7,899 yuan (~$1176).

Display and design

The standard version features a glossy 13.3-inch LCD with 3408 x 2272 resolution and a 3:2 aspect ratio.

It offers a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1,000 nits.

The Soft Light model uses a nano-textured display to reduce glare.

The tablet weighs 645 grams and is 5.67mm thick.

It features a metal unibody design with a racetrack-style camera module.

Performance and battery

The Xring O3 chip includes a 10-core CPU and a 16-core Mali-G2-Ultra GPU.

Early Geekbench tests show multi-core scores above 14,000 points.

Xiaomi claims combined CPU and GPU performance is close to Apple's M5 desktop chip.

The 16GB+1TB model uses CXMT's LPDDR6 memory clocked up to 10,667Mbps.

A 12,000mAh battery supports 120W wired charging.

Software and features

HyperOS 4 enables running up to six apps simultaneously with split-screen layouts.

The USB-C port supports DP-in, allowing the tablet to serve as an external monitor for PCs or gaming handhelds.

The tablet includes six microphones, eight speakers, a 32MP front camera, and a 50MP rear camera.

Pre-orders for the Pad 9 Pro Max are now open in China.
