Poco has expanded its X8 series in India with the launch of the standard Poco X8, following the earlier introduction of the X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max.
The new model joins the battery-focused Poco X8 Power, offering another choice for buyers in the lineup.
Display and performance
The Poco X8 features a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness.
It supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and 100 percent DCI-P3 color coverage.
The panel also offers up to 3,200Hz instantaneous touch sampling and Wet Touch 2.0 for improved response when the screen is wet.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset with a peak clock speed of 2.4GHz and an Adreno GPU.
Battery and cameras
A massive 9,000mAh battery supports 67W wired fast charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging.
The rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
For selfies and video calls, there is a 16-megapixel front camera.
Software and durability
The Poco X8 runs Android 16-based HyperOS 3, with Poco promising four major OS upgrades and six years of security updates.
Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, infrared sensor, dual SIM support, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and the device carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
Price and availability
The Poco X8 is available in India in three configurations: 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, and 8GB+256GB.
Prices are set at Rs 29,999 (~$320), Rs 32,999 (~$350), and Rs 35,999 (~$380), respectively.
Sales begin on Flipkart from Sept. 11, with color options including Black, Fiery Orange, and Frost White.
