A judge has ruled that the holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy trial can remain on the case.
The decision came after Clancy's lawyer, Kevin Reddington, expressed frustration.
Reddington argued that the judge was ignoring the concerns of 11 jurors who believe the holdout is not properly considering reasonable doubt.
The judge responded that he had sufficiently probed the matter and believes the holdout is fit to serve.
During the judge's instructions, female jurors nodded in agreement, while male jurors did not.
Observers speculate that the 11 jurors may be leaning toward a verdict other than murder, possibly not guilty by reason of insanity.
Reddington wore a pink tie, the color worn by demonstrators supporting Clancy outside the courthouse.
The jury has resumed deliberations after 36 hours of discussion.
