Former Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin was arrested Thursday for contempt of court, reportedly while on the set of a Christmas film in Bourbon County, KY.
Police took Bevin into custody as he was playing an extra in the holiday movie production, according to Louisville Public Media.
He was transported to the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections and booked for "contempt of court libel/slander resistance to order."
Bevin also posed for a mug shot that showed his displeasure.
Legal Troubles Stem from Divorce Case
His arrest stems from failing to turn over financial records to a judge in his ongoing divorce and child support case.
The judge found Bevin in contempt and issued an arrest warrant, but this was not the only warrant he faced this year.
Earlier, a warrant was issued for not appearing at a court hearing in May, which Bevin blamed on a boulder that struck his vacation home in Maine.
He paid a fine, and the judge rescinded that warrant.
However, after failing to provide financial records, a second warrant was issued, and this time Bevin could not pay the fine, so the warrant remained active.
At the July hearing, both Bevin's ex-wife Glenna and their son appeared in person, but a party attempting to join via Zoom was dropped after allegedly failing to identify themselves.
Bevin served as the 62nd Governor of Kentucky from 2015 to 2019.
