BigMe has confirmed that its upcoming B6 Pro color e-reader will be available for pre-order in China starting September 1 at 8:00 PM local time.

The pre-order window will run until September 22 at 10:00 AM, with the remaining balance due from 10:30 AM that same day.

The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at 2,099 yuan (about $290).

Display and Performance

The B6 Pro features a 6-inch color E Ink display with a resolution of 300 PPI for black-and-white content and 150 PPI for color.

It supports a 75Hz refresh rate and offers 36 levels of adjustable warm and cool front lighting.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 octa-core processor, clocked up to 2.6 GHz.

This chip was previously used in BigMe's HiBreak Dual phone before the company moved to the Dimensity 8300 in later models.

Connectivity and Design

A standout feature is built-in 4G connectivity, allowing calls, messages, and internet access without Wi-Fi.

It also supports dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.3.

Despite the added hardware, the reader remains compact at 108 x 149.3 x 6.98mm and weighs around 176 grams.

The B6 Pro will be offered in black and white, running on Android 14.

It supports stylus input and includes five physical touch buttons.

A 2,120mAh battery powers the device, with charging via USB Type-C, which also supports wired earphones.

Dual microphones and a single speaker handle calls and media playback.

The B6 Pro is part of BigMe's push into E Ink devices this year, targeting readers who want a color E Ink device with 4G connectivity.
