Xiaomi has expanded its Mijia lifestyle lineup with a new backpack designed for daily commuters.
The Mijia Lightweight Commuter Backpack weighs only 570 grams and is priced at 99 yuan, roughly $14.

Despite its light weight, the backpack offers an 18-liter capacity. Xiaomi achieved this by trimming material in non-load-bearing sections while reinforcing stress points for durability.
Design and Features
The backpack is made from polyester fiber and comes in black, gray, and beige. It has a unisex design and measures 280×150×430mm.
Inside, there is a double-layer main compartment.

One layer fits a laptop up to 16 inches, while the other is open for clothes and everyday items.
Additional storage includes a zippered front pocket for small essentials and two side pockets sized for a 500mL water bottle or an umbrella.

For comfort, the shoulder straps curve slightly to match the body, and the connection angle is adjusted to reduce neck friction and armpit pressure during long wear.
The fabric has a Level 4 water-repellent rating, so light rain beads off and everyday stains wipe away easily.
A trolley strap on the back allows it to slide over a suitcase handle, and a high-density handle on top offers quick grabbing.

Xiaomi also notes that the zippers have been refined to operate quietly. The Mijia Lightweight Commuter Backpack is available now in China.
