Xiaomi has introduced a new kitchen appliance in China, the Mijia Smart Range Hood 3 Dual Suction, following the recent launch of the European-style Smart Hood 3.
This model stands out with its dual-suction layout, combining side suction to capture smoke directly from the pan and a top rectifier plate to handle smoke spreading across a wider area.

The range hood is equipped with a DC inverter motor and a widened impeller, delivering a peak airflow of 30 m³/min for stir-frying and 16 m³/min on lower settings.
An AI cruise mode adjusts the fan based on wind resistance in the shared exhaust duct, with a maximum static pressure of 1400 Pa, specifically designed for apartment buildings where smoke can be pushed back.
The Mijia Smart Range Hood 3 Dual Suction is priced at 2469 yuan (approximately $345).

Design and Features
The hood features a space gray metal body, measuring 895 x 375 x 887 mm and weighing 27.0 kg.
At 375 mm deep, it can sit flush with most kitchen cabinets, and the front panel uses nano-oil-resistant glass for easy cleaning.
It supports stove-hood linkage, turning on automatically when the stove is activated, and includes air gesture sensing for touch-free control.

Xiaomi has reduced noise to 58 dB(A) by optimizing the motor, volute shape, impeller width (increased by 24%), and adding double-layer sound-absorbing cotton.
The impeller has an oleophobic coating and a self-cleaning dry mode that spins at high speed to remove grease buildup.
This is not Xiaomi's first side-suction hood; the Mijia Smart Range Hood 3C, launched earlier this year, offered similar features with a lower 24 m³/min suction rating.

The new Range Hood 3 builds on that formula with higher airflow and lower noise.
