Xiaomi has introduced the Smart Camera Video Call Version 2, a new model that brings a built-in screen to its smart camera lineup.
The device is now listed on Xiaomi Youpin for crowdfunding, with the campaign set to begin on August 26.

Priced at 429 yuan (around $60), the camera is an upgrade over last year's Smart Camera Video Call Edition.
It features a 3.97-inch fully laminated color screen with a 480 × 800 resolution, and the buttons around the display are larger with clearer feedback.
The camera supports two-way video calls between the camera and a phone, as well as between two cameras.
Users can initiate calls via hand gestures, pressing a button, or through an automatically linked call.

For audio, it uses two microphones, a large speaker, and intelligent noise reduction to keep voices clear even in noisy environments.
The 8MP sensor records up to 3840 × 2160 resolution, offering 4K video recording.
A new horizontal pan-and-tilt system allows the camera to rotate 360 degrees, and it can be manually tilted between 0 and 30 degrees.

This lets users view different parts of a room without moving the device.
Powering the device is a 1.5T chip that Xiaomi claims offers 50% more computing power than the previous generation.
The extra performance enables larger AI models for improved scene and activity detection.
The Smart Camera Video Call Version 2 also works with Xiaomi's HyperConnect system, allowing it to connect with other smart home devices.

During a video call, users can view the camera's live feed directly on the screen, and Xiaomi lets users share camera access with family members.
