Fairphone has officially launched the Fairphone 6+ in the Netherlands, and for the first time, the company is selling a phone directly in the United States.
The new model builds on the Fairphone 6 with a faster chip, more RAM, and a few other upgrades while retaining the repairable design.

Specs and features
The Fairphone 6+ is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor and comes with 12GB of RAM, up from 8GB on the Fairphone 6.
It offers 256GB of built-in storage, expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card.
The phone features a 6.31-inch FHD+ LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, the same as its predecessor.
The camera setup remains unchanged: a 50MP Sony LYT-700C main camera, a 13MP ultrawide, and a 32MP selfie camera.
A standout feature is the user-replaceable 4,415mAh battery, rated to retain at least 80% capacity after over 1,000 charging cycles.

It supports 30W charging and has an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance, plus MIL-STD 810H certification for drop resistance.
At 193 grams, the phone remains relatively light.
Repairability is a key selling point, with 12 easily replaceable parts.
The Fairphone 6+ runs Android 16 and is promised seven years of software updates, including six major Android upgrades.

Fairphone also offers a five-year warranty.
More than half of the phone's body is made from fair or recycled materials, and its carbon footprint is 30kg of CO2e, the lowest in the company's lineup.
Price and availability
The Fairphone 6+ comes in Forest Green, Horizon Black, and Cobalt Blue.
It costs $649 in the US and €649 in Europe.
The US launch is significant because previous Fairphone models were only available through Murena with /e/OS software, and the Fairphone 6 was priced at $899.
