Redmi has quietly introduced a new smartphone in China, the Redmi M100, which is now available for purchase locally.
The device features a 6.9-inch LCD display with 1600 × 720 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Xiaomi highlights the display's eye-protection features and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
The phone also offers dust and splash resistance and is rated for up to 500,000 fingerprint touches.
Available in Midnight Black, Starry White, and Wilderness Green, the M100 sports a four-dimensional micro-curved back with RGB dynamic lighting around the camera area.
Battery and performance
A standout feature is the massive 7,900mAh battery, supporting 45W wired and 22.5W reverse wired charging.

It is compatible with the PPS charging protocol, allowing use of third-party fast chargers.
Under the hood, the Redmi M100 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 mobile platform, a 4nm chip with an octa-core CPU.
For photography, there's a 13MP main camera with features like film filters, portrait mode, night mode, live photos, dual-view shooting, Pro mode, and document scanning.
The front camera is a 5MP sensor with beauty mode, face recognition, portrait mode, and night mode.

The phone runs Xiaomi's Surge OS 3 out of the box.
Additional specs include NFC, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Redmi also includes a senior care mode with larger icons and fonts, media and ringtone volume up to 300%, and call blocking options.
Pricing and availability
The Redmi M100 starts at 1,799 yuan (~$266) for the 8GB+128GB variant.

The 6GB+256GB model costs 1,999 yuan (~$296), while the top-end 8GB+256GB version is priced at 2,199 yuan (~$325).
