Tecno has launched the Pova 8 Pro 5G in India, bringing a large battery, high water resistance, and a secondary rear display.
The phone features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and 2592Hz PWM dimming for reduced flicker.

It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and carries IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
Performance and battery
Under the hood, the Pova 8 Pro 5G runs on a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate processor with a secondary graphics chip for gaming.
It comes with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, available in 8GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB configurations.
The 6,500mAh battery supports 45W wired charging and 10W reverse charging, plus bypass charging to reduce heat during heavy use.

Camera and software
The main camera uses a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 700C sensor with OIS, paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and a 13-megapixel front camera.
Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording at 30fps.
The phone runs Android 16 and includes an AI call assistant that records and transcribes calls, supporting English, Hindi, Bengali, and Marathi.

The back features a triangular camera layout and the Alive Matrix Display, a dot-matrix screen with 177 Mini LEDs showing battery status, timers, caller ID, and a desk clock.

The Pova 8 Pro 5G comes in Tundra Green, Arc White, and Graphite Black.
The 8GB/256GB model costs Rs. 49,999, while the 12GB/512GB version is priced at Rs.
54,999.
