Asus has introduced a new gadget that can convert a regular bicycle into an electric bike without the need for a new frame.
The Oxiis E250G1 Intelligent Bike Booster is a clip-on device that straps to the seatpost and drives the rear wheel via rollers.

It works with city bikes, road bikes, and folding bikes, making it a versatile option for many cyclists.
The device includes a 250W motor that can peak at 500W, providing assistance up to 32 km/h.

Adaptive Boost Technology adjusts power based on the slope, and riders can choose from Eco, Normal, and Sport modes.
The removable 158.4Wh battery offers up to 50km of range in Eco mode, but drops to about 10km in Sport mode.
Charging takes around two hours using a 100W USB Type-C Power Delivery charger.

Weighing 3.7kg, the unit fits tires from 16 to 29 inches and 700C wheels, with a seatpost clamp that adjusts from 25.4mm to 34.9mm.
It also features smart taillights that illuminate when braking.
