A traffic stop in Arkansas escalated into violence when a state trooper body-slammed and punched an 18-year-old woman, and the incident was captured on dashcam video.
The woman's attorney, Ben Crump, is now demanding answers and a formal investigation into the use of force.

The incident occurred on August 1, when Trooper Moisses Arellano pulled over Alisa Hackett for speeding.
According to THV11, Hackett was clocked driving 71 mph in a 60 mph zone.
Arellano reported finding a cold bottle of liquor in the passenger seat and noted that Hackett was under 21.
In the dashcam footage, Arellano orders Hackett to place her hands on the trunk and take two steps back.

He then asks her to put a hand behind her back, but suddenly body-slams her to the pavement and punches her.
Hackett repeatedly asks, "Sir, what did I do?" but Arellano forces her to the ground and mounts her as she screams.
She asks to call her mother and protests her arrest, but Arellano tells her he does not care and orders her to turn around.
When she shouts that he cannot punch her, he responds, "I'll punch you again if you don't f***ing turn around."

Use of Force Report and Attorney's Response
In his use-of-force report, Arellano said he decided to arrest Hackett after learning she had received a warning during a similar stop days earlier.
He claimed she pulled her arms away and refused to roll onto her stomach, prompting him to deliver one closed-fist strike to gain compliance.
Attorney Ben Crump is calling on the Arkansas State Police to open a formal use-of-force investigation, publicly release its findings, and turn over any previous reports involving Arellano.
Crump stated, "Arkansas State Police have to explain to the public how that is a reasonable response to a teenager at a traffic stop."

The Arkansas Department of Public Safety told TMZ, "All uses of force are reviewed internally as a matter of protocol."
