OpenAI is advancing on two fronts: improving its AI models and developing its first physical device. A Bloomberg report reveals the hardware as the "physical manifestation of ChatGPT."

The device is expected to be doughnut-shaped, roughly the size of a hockey puck, and made from high-quality metal.

It will have no display, but will be battery-powered for portability.

It could sit on a nightstand, kitchen counter, or desk, or be carried around the house.

The device includes a camera system and sensors for visual input, along with speaker grilles, microphones, and lights that indicate when it's listening.

Moving parts may give the device a bit of personality by signaling responses.
