Matt Rife is facing backlash from the ghost hunting community after telling a paranormal investigator with autism to kill himself.
The exchange began when Rife and his collaborator, Elton Castee, promoted an upcoming event at the Haunted Warren Museum, a paranormal spot they purchased last year known for housing the demon doll Annabelle.

Chris Mac, a self-described paranormal investigator, responded to the post with a lecture about the Salem Witch Trials.
Rife then called him a "lifeless douchebag" and said, "please remove yourself from this earth."
Chris later responded on Facebook, saying, "Now am going move forward with all this nonsense garbage what Matt said and Elton Castee control your mentor Matt or get Matt therapy.
I don’t want ever ever want see Matt bully a person with autism again. Do I make myself clear?

A source close to Rife told TMZ that the comedian is relentlessly bullied in the comment section with "vile" remarks, and that he often responds to trolls who then delete their comments.
The source added that context is missing from the exchange since the comments were deleted.

There is no evidence that Rife knew Chris had autism at the time of the exchange.
Chris does not have a large following, but his supporters are now targeting Rife, who has faced criticism from the paranormal community for charging $166 for admission to the museum, with some accusing him of being in it for the money.
TMZ has reached out to Rife's rep but has not received a response.
