Xiaomi has unveiled the Sound Play, a new portable Bluetooth speaker launched globally alongside the 17T smartphone series.
Priced at £49.90 in the UK, the Sound Play is essentially the same device as the Bluetooth Speaker C that debuted in China earlier today.

Design and features
The Sound Play adopts a cylindrical form factor and weighs 415 grams. It includes a built-in soft rubber strap for carrying.
Available in four colors: black, white, green, and purple. An infinity mirror LED setup on the top creates a tunneled depth effect.

A secondary ambient light ring on the bottom can pulse to the beat of music or stay on a constant glow.
Audio and connectivity
The speaker is equipped with an 18W racetrack-style full-range driver, paired with internal and external passive radiators to boost low-end frequencies.
It supports Bluetooth 6.0 for lower latency and stable connections up to 25 meters. Auracast allows linking up to 100 speakers simultaneously for synchronized audio and lighting.

Standard True Wireless Stereo (TWS) pairing links two units for dedicated left and right audio channels.
Battery and durability
The speaker packs a 2,600mAh battery rated for up to 14 hours of playback at 40% volume with RGB lighting disabled.

The device carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
