Earth Wind & Fire postponed their Thursday night concert in San Francisco after a band member fell seriously ill.
The legendary funk band announced on Instagram that they could not perform at Chase Center due to a medical emergency involving an unidentified band member.

The group, featuring Verdine White, Philip Bailey, and Ralph Johnson, said the show would be rescheduled for a later date, with details to be announced soon.
They apologized for the inconvenience and thanked fans for their understanding.

Mariano Elias, a representative for the San Francisco Fire Department, told TMZ that a fire engine and a private ambulance responded to Chase Center for a "cardiac incident."
One person was transported to a local hospital and listed in critical condition.

This incident follows a similar health scare on June 24, when Lionel Richie suffered a medical emergency onstage in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Richie felt dizzy and was advised by doctors to rest, leading to the postponement of two shows before he rejoined the tour with Earth Wind & Fire in Pittsburgh on June 30.

TMZ has reached out to Earth Wind & Fire's representatives for comment but has not received a response yet.
