New video footage shows Mitch McConnell being wheeled out of his Washington, D. C.
home on a stretcher and loaded into an ambulance.
The footage, obtained by CNN from a neighbor, captures emergency workers removing the Kentucky senator from his residence and placing him into the back of the vehicle.
At the end of the video, a bare foot is visible poking out from under a blanket, but McConnell's face is not shown.
The neighbor recorded the video on the morning of June 14 after hearing commotion outside and seeing two ambulances, a fire truck, and Capitol Police officers at the scene.
The neighbor asked a police officer if McConnell was having a medical emergency, but the officer refused to identify the patient.
The neighbor later spoke with an eyewitness who saw McConnell's face as he was wheeled out and noted he was not wearing an oxygen mask.
A representative for McConnell previously confirmed the senator was admitted to the hospital that morning and was “receiving excellent care.”
However, McConnell's team has not disclosed what caused the medical emergency or his current condition.
The incident was reportedly more serious than initially disclosed, with the senator found unconscious before being rushed to the hospital.
