A California man was arrested for allegedly sending death threats to the step-mother of one of Nolan Wells' friends, who is a sitting judge in Mississippi.
New legal documents obtained by TMZ reveal the hateful messages.
The threats were sent to Jackson County Chancery Judge Ashlee Cole, according to the documents.
The accused, Joseph Alfredo Vasquez Dumarce, allegedly referenced a package containing an explosive device.
Dumarce also mentioned Cole's family, including her step-son Warren Hudson, a friend of Nolan's who appeared on a podcast to deny any involvement in Nolan's death.
Police say Dumarce sent the threats via Facebook. They traced him through IP addresses linked to his social media account, cross-referencing personal details.
Dumarce was arrested and charged with interstate transmission of a threatening communication, a federal crime that carries up to five years in prison.
Background of Threats
Nolan's friends and their families have received hateful messages since his death, with many speculating about the group he was with on the Fourth of July.
Warren Hudson has denied any involvement, and his father, Dr. Benjamin Hudson, is offering a $50,000 reward for information.
Warren recently said on a podcast that he last saw Nolan at 3 PM that day, but claims he spoke to someone who saw the teen at 6 PM.
