The WNBA has removed a social media video that showed two of its stars violating league policy.

The clip, posted on the league's X account, featured Paige Bueckers and Angel Reese betting $400 on the outcome of a game.

The friendly wager took place during All-Star Weekend. Reese held a wad of cash and said, "I know y'all gonna lose ...

but if y'all win, you get the 400."

Before the Dallas Wings vs. Atlanta Dream game, Bueckers was reminded of the bet and confirmed, "Bet. I'm standing on that."

The league shared the interaction with a caption about the bet.

Reese's Dream won the game. Afterward, she joked she expected an Apple Pay payment from Bueckers.

League Rules Prohibit Betting

The WNBA's collective bargaining agreement bans players from wagering on games.

The rule states that any player found guilty of betting on a WNBA competition can face fines, suspension, or dismissal.

Someone apparently told the league's social media team to delete the clip. The WNBA has not announced any punishment for Bueckers or Reese.

However, they could still face consequences.

Sports betting has become a major issue in the NBA, with Jontay Porter receiving a lifetime ban in 2024 for betting violations.

In the game, Reese recorded 22 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Bueckers finished with 16 points, six assists, and four rebounds.
