A 56-year-old Arkansas man died last week after his car collided with a portable toilet that fell from a truck on a highway, authorities said.
Ronald Langley was driving along Interstate 49 in Bentonville on the afternoon of July 24 when a truck carrying two portable toilets lost one of them, according to the Arkansas Department of Public Safety.
The toilet tumbled into the roadway, and Langley's Honda hit it. Police said Langley suffered fatal injuries, though it was not immediately clear exactly how the injuries occurred.
Langley's family has created a GoFundMe page to help cover funeral expenses and other costs.
The fundraiser states that Langley took every precaution but still died in a highway accident due to someone else's negligence, leaving his wife without a breadwinner.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
