Samsung's latest foldable smartphones have achieved a new milestone in India.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Flip 8 recorded over 271,000 pre-orders within 72 hours of their launch on July 22.

This marks the fastest pre-order pace for any Galaxy foldable series in the country.
Last year's Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 took about 15 days to reach a similar figure.
Demand spreads beyond major cities
Samsung noted that 45% of all pre-orders came from Tier 2 cities and smaller markets. This indicates growing interest in foldable devices beyond metropolitan areas.

The company expects the new foldables to match the pre-order numbers of the Galaxy S26 series from earlier this year.
Key specifications across the lineup
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 weighs 201 grams and features a redesigned Flex Titanium display structure.
It includes a 4,800mAh battery, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset, and up to 3,000 nits peak brightness.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra boasts an 8-inch main display, a 4.1mm unfolded profile, and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging.

Its camera system includes a 200-megapixel primary sensor and 8K video recording.
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 focuses on portability with a redesigned FlexWindow and a 50-megapixel main camera. It supports hands-free Flex Mode shooting and new video controls.
All models come with Galaxy AI features like Now Brief, Now Nudge, and Gemini Intelligence. One UI 9 adds new AI privacy controls.

Prices start at Rs 1,24,999 for the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Rs 1,79,999 for the Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Rs 1,99,999 for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
