Apple has launched a new leasing program called Apple Upgrade in the United States, offering flexible monthly payments for its devices.
The program is powered by Klarna and available through Apple's website, app, or physical stores.

Customers can choose 12- or 24-month plans for iPhones and Apple Watches, while Macs and iPads offer 24- or 36-month options.
Monthly payments start at $17.99 for an iPhone, $11.99 for an Apple Watch or iPad, and $24.99 for a Mac.
Trade-in credits through Apple Trade In can further reduce the monthly cost.
The application process is quick and involves only a soft credit check, so it does not affect credit scores.

Approved customers can receive the device the same day in-store or have it delivered.
At the end of a 24-month lease, users have three options: upgrade to a newer model, purchase the device outright by paying a residual balance, or return it in good condition and exit the program.
Billing and balance management are handled through the Klarna app, and AppleCare can be added for extra protection.
For example, an iPhone 17 Pro 256GB priced at $1,099 would cost about $31.99 per month on a 24-month lease, or $45.99 on a 12-month plan, before taxes or trade-in credits.
An Apple Watch Series 11 GPS 42mm at $399 starts at $11.99 per month for 24 months.

No deposit is required, but upgrades depend on eligibility and a fresh approval.
With the launch of Apple Upgrade, the previous iPhone Upgrade Program and iPhone Payments options are being retired in the US.
Existing users can switch to the new leasing plan, continue with Apple Card monthly installments, buy the phone outright, or explore carrier financing.
The program is open to US residents aged 18 and older who meet identification and account requirements.

Devices can only be delivered to US addresses or picked up at US stores. There is no official announcement yet regarding an international rollout.
