Honor has officially announced the launch date for its highly anticipated Honor Robot Phone.
The device, developed in collaboration with German camera maker ARRI, will debut on August 12.

The company is marketing the phone as the world's first "robot phone." Pre-orders are now open on Honor's official website, requiring a 500 yuan deposit for early access.
Paying the deposit unlocks a special purchase channel but does not guarantee a specific color or storage option.
Once the order confirmation period begins, deposit holders can choose their preferred version.
After Honor confirms an order, buyers must pay the remaining balance within 24 hours. Due to limited supply, orders will be fulfilled in the sequence of completed payments.

The Honor Robot Phone will be available in two colors: Star Trail Silver and Moon Shadow Gray. Storage options include 12GB+512GB and 16GB+1TB.
What Makes the Honor Robot Phone Special
The standout feature is a mechanical gimbal built into the top of the device.
This four-degree-of-freedom titanium arm uses small motors and takes up 70% less space than typical gimbal designs.
Users can tuck the arm away for everyday use and pop it out with one tap for photography.
Once deployed, it rotates 360 degrees, tracks subjects automatically, and adjusts framing on its own.

Honor rates the stabilization at CIPA 5.5, enabling steady vlog-style footage without a separate handheld stabilizer.
On the camera side, the phone features three rear lenses: a 200MP main sensor with f/1.6 aperture on the gimbal, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 200MP periscope zoom lens.
Honor partnered with ARRI to bring Log-C color profiles and cinematic LUTs to the camera app.
Manual controls like focus lock and white balance lock are also included for creators.

The phone will run on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and could be the first device to carry the core of Honor's new AgenticOS system.
